FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

November 20-24, 2012. Guangzhou, China

In 1989, Section for Cardiovascular Sciences of Chinese Association of Pathophysiology (CAP), became a member of International Society for Heart Research (ISHR), termed as International Society for Heart Research Chinese Section (ISHRC). In the past, ten academic conferences were successfully held by ISHRC. The 11th congress of ISHRC will be held during November 20-24, 2012 in Guangzhou of China. This congress will be organized by ISHRC, CAP Section for Cardiovascular Sciences and CAP Section for Receptor and Signal Transduction Research, and sponsored by Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences (Guangdong General Hospital) and Guangdong Provincial Cardiovascular Institute.

The theme of this congress is “Today’s Science, Tomorrow’s Medicine”. This congress is designed to present the an updated progress in the basic and clinical research on cardiovascular sciences, including cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, receptor and signaling transduction, clinical investigation on cardiovascular diseases, translational medicine and omics study. Some famous scientists in cardiovascular research around the world will be invited to give landmark lectures. Plenary, special and group reports will be arranged for academic exchange in this congress. In addition, excellent research papers award for young scientists and excellent posters award will be also presented. We are expecting clinician, scientific researchers and graduate students to attend this congress.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

1. Special reports and articles, which will not be published or reported in the international conferences before August 31, 2012, are encouraged to be submitted to this congress. All the abstracts will be reviewed for publication in “Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology”, and the authors should be responsible for their abstracts.

2. Abstracts can be written in Chinese or English and should be in keeping with the format requirements of “Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology” , and two parts are recommended to be included as follows:

Part 1: Title, author(s), affiliation, city, postcode, E-mail address (first author), mobile phone number (not to be published, only for necessary contact)

Part 2: The sections of AIM, METHODS, ESULTS and CONCLUSION should be included. The total words in the abstract are limited to 300-500. The fund item and corresponding author (name and E-mail address ) can also be labled if needed.

3. Abstract should be edited by using Word 2003 version software. It is strongly recommended to submit abstracts by the email: ishrchina2012@yahoo.cn

4. The first author is limited to submit one abstract, with no limitation for second author or later author to be shown in other abstracts.

5. The plenary lectures will be recommended by the Scientific Committee, and the special reports will be screened from abstracts.

6. The competition of excellent research paper award for young scientists will be held in this congress. The participants are limited to those who were born after August 31, 1972. All the participants should present on site, otherwise, they will have to give up the competition. All the participants should also provide 2 copies of full article printed on paper and their CVs after submitting the article abstract. The date of birth should be indicated in the CV, and the personal sign and the announcement that the research article is reliable with no conflicts of interest should be attached in the CV.
